Garrett was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Raised in a Christian home, one where love resided, Garrett gave his life to Christ at a young age. As his relationship with Christ grew, Garrett knew that it was God's plan for him to share this great love with others. In 2021, Garrett met his wife-to-be Chloe on a mission trip to Western North Carolina where his church was serving at Camp Living Water.

Prior to answering the call to ministry at Camp Living Water, Garrett worked as an Admissions Counselor at The University of West Alabama. This is also his Alma Mater where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Marketing in 2020. When Garrett and Chloe began praying about ways to get involved in ministry full-time, Camp Living Water was one of the first doors God opened. Within months, they were packing a moving truck and making the drive to Bryson City. Garrett now works with guest groups and summer campers alike.

When they are not sharing a meal with guests in Volunteer Hall, Garrett and Chloe love to travel. Passionate baseball fans, this couple is constantly planning the next game to catch. Garrett also loves to entertain friends and visitors of a young adult’s Bible study that he and Dustin Morrison host weekly.

Garrett's prayer for Camp Living Water is one that he has echoed many times throughout his life; that God will use him and the rest of the staff to make His great name known to all that visit these hallowed grounds.
