Executive Director

Dan Gustafson serves as the Executive Director and brings over 30 years of rich camp ministry experience, serving faithfully alongside his wife, Teresa. Known for his patience, easy humor, and unflappable kindness, Dan brings a steady, calming presence to every environment he steps into. At the core of everything he does is a deep desire to see God glorified and people come to know Jesus Christ.

Dan is as versatile as they come—equally comfortable tackling hands-on facility maintenance, plumbing, and electrical work as he is connecting with guests and staff. He also has a knack for bringing joy and laughter to camp life; keep an eye out and you might catch him performing sleight-of-hand magic, juggling, or even riding his unicycle. Dan’s heart for service, deep ministry roots, and infectious good nature make him a beloved figure across the camp community.

Director of Discipleship

Peter Wright serves as the Director of Discipleship at Camp Living Water in Bryson City, North Carolina, bringing a dynamic blend of operational leadership and heart for Christian ministry for the past 20+ years. Devoted to his faith and his family, Peter serves alongside his wife, Becky, and is a dedicated father to their four children. His work is fueled by a desire to see camp become a place of genuine connection, spiritual growth, and community.

A true Renaissance man, Peter pairs organizational vision with practical craftsmanship. You are just as likely to driving his car on the beautiful mountain roads, coordinating youth athletic leagues, building Lego sets or hiking the trails with a weighted ruck as you are to find him picking up an acoustic guitar to lead music around the fire or enjoying a lively game of basketball. Grounded, industrious, and quick to invest in people, Peter brings hands-on creativity, athletic energy, and steady purpose to everything he leads.
